A cry for help

This is from the Senior Cricket Section. A section that co-founded the Towcestrians in 1934!

I’m sure you are aware of the problems we’re currently having with senior cricket at Tows.  With players leaving the club and a number of injuries, fielding competitive teams has been very difficult.  It’s only been with help from parents of our younger players that we’ve been able to put out sides on Saturdays.  We need support to carry on for the rest of the season and beyond.

Our remaining games are below.  It would be very helpful if current players could indicate when they are definitely NOT available.  For others associated with the club this is a plea for help.  If you can play in any of these matches please let me know as soon as possible.

Also please ask around – if you know of any other cricketers who might be up for a game over the next two months do get them to make contact.

Thanks, and let’s hope our situation improves over the next few weeks!”

Senior Cricket Committee

As most of you will know, a bespoke new cricket ground READ MORE has long been part of our new development plans built to top standards which should attract good cricketers from around the area as well as developing the growing number of young cricketers coming through the ranks guided by the fantastic support of their parents and coaches, so it is imperative to keep the senior side going till we are ready to fully benefit from the new facilities!

So please shake off the dust of your old cricket kit and have some fun for the remaining 7 games!
