It’s Le Crunch Time

Come On You Tows!

Come on England!

As a Rugby Saturday goes, it doesn’t get much bigger than this! No wonder they call it Super Saturday!

Firstly and MOST importantly Tows 1st XV are back in action after a week’s rest. They are playing one of their biggest games of the year on Saturday 19th Mar KO 3.00pm

Tows are entertaining Newbury Blues, one of only 3 sides to have beaten Tows this season! There are a few wrongs to put right, but it won’t be easy as Newbury, unbeaten this year are coming off the back of 8 straight wins!

This is a massive game for Tows who need 3 wins from their final 5 games to secure promotion to the National Leagues and join the top 128 teams in England!

Robbie George, director of rugby, is hoping for a huge turnout of support! “It’s these small extra advantages of a big home crowd that really lifts the boys! You can’t believe the effect the crowd have on the intensity we want to play at!”

So please come down to watch and support them. There will be hot food served throughout the day!

But the rugby doesn’t stop there. The IRB have kindly put on some more rugby for your enjoyment! As well as Wales v Italy KO 2.30 pm and Ireland v Scotland KO 5.00 pm there is the small matter of the Grand Slam decider in Paris.

England have finally won a championship, now can they go one step further and win the Grand Slam for the first time since 2003 if they win in Paris!! Where else would you rather be, (except perhaps Paris) to watch the game live on all of our big TV’s to the strains of “Swing Low”? we are expecting a large turnout so come and get your seat early! The game starts at 8.00pm but the build-up will be all day long!

So come and support Tows and England this weekend!
